The Fifth Squad reports on a Criminal Mischief incident that occurred on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 12:35 AM in Hempstead.
 
According to Detectives, an unknown subject walked up to a large menorah located on the front lawn of a residence on Nassau Boulevard. The subject then used an unknown object and struck the menorah, destroying two lights and causing approximately $2,000 USC in damages. 
 
The subject then fled on foot on Nassau Boulevard in an unknown direction. 
 
The investigation is ongoing.
 
 
The subject is described as an adult male, last seen wearing dark colored clothing and a black backpack. No further description available at this time.
