AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Elmont, NY - November 19th, 2013 - The Fourth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 12:55 am in Elmont.

According to detectives, a 22 year old male employee observed a male black subject enter into the Dunkin Donuts located at 238-19 Linden Boulevard, display a black handgun and demand cash from the register. The victim opened the register and the subject took an undetermined amount of US currency and fled on foot west on Linden Boulevard.

The subject is described as being 18-25 years old, 6’00” tall, white sweat suit with hood, black mask, black handgun. There were no customers in the store. There were no injuries reported.

Detectives ask that anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
