AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. The toll free number is 1 800 5 3 5, 1 3 4 5.

Update: SCPD Silvert Alert: East Setauket Possibly Disoriented Missing Man

Vincent Aline, 87, of 5 Stalker Lane, East Setauket, was last seen on Thursday, November 20 at the OTB located at Route 25 in Centereach at 3 p.m.

Update - Novemver 21, 2014 - Vincent Aline has been located, unharmed.

East Setauket - November 21, 2014 - The Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives have issued a Silver Alert for a missing man, who is possibly disoriented, and may be driving a 2008 Mercury 4-door black sedan with New York plates, CJL 7021.

Vincent Aline, 87, of 5 Stalker Lane, East Setauket, was last seen on Thursday, November
20 at the OTB located at Route 25 in Centereach at 3 p.m.  

Aline is described as a white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with medium length white hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown overcoat, beige trousers, a black button-down shirt and sneakers.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about Aline’s location to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8644 or call 911.

As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
