AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING An Air Quality Health Advisory remains in effect for the following counties: Nassau and Suffolk. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of ground level ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Matthew Moziy of Baldwin arrested for home burglary.

Baldwin, NY - November 21, 2015 - The First Squad reports the arrest of a Baldwin man for Burglary that occurred in Baldwin on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11:17 am.

According to detectives, a 16 year old female ran out of her Baldwin residence and called 911 after hearing noises coming from a locked bedroom when no one else was at home. First Precinct Police Officers responded and upon arrival they searched the home and then went to the rear yard when they observed the defendant Matthew Moziy, 33, of Baldwin exiting the rear door carrying a safe and carrying a screwdriver. First Precinct Police Officers placed the defendant into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported.

Matthew Moziy is charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, and Possession of Burglary Tools. He will be charged in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday, November 21, 2015.
