Update - November 21, 2016 - Good Morning Wantagh Community, This message is a follow up to my email communication earlier today. Please know that for the past number of hours the buildings have all been checked. Perimeters and all spaces within the schools have been searched and nothing unusual has been found.
During the weekend no intrusion alarms went off and the video available showed nothing unusual. Although the Nassau County Police have described this threat as "unrealistic" and "unreliable", they nevertheless will increase their presence on school grounds today. We appreciate the assistance of the 7th precinct and also thank our custodial staff for their help in searching the schools during the early morning hours. Should I hear anything further, I will contact you again.
