Zoning approvals have been successfully secured to construct a brand new “Fairfield Inn” by Marriott near Republic Airport on SR 109 in Farmingdale, NY.
 
The new Hotel required approvals from the Babylon’s Town Board for a change of zone from G-Light Industrial to M-H Planned Motel-Hotel District, Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Board for multiple area variances, as well as special permission to allow construction of a four (4) story hotel.
 
Approvals were obtained to demolish the run down structures and erect a beautiful new 4 story, 84 room hotel providing amenities including a business center, breakfast cafe, outdoor patio area, fitness center and other associated site improvements for the Fairfield Inn by Marriott.

The Melville-Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce and Discover Long Island issued letters of support welcoming and wholly supporting the proposed redevelopment of the property.
 
The property with the existing buildings on the property are currently in terrible condition and remain a constant eyesore for all motorists traveling along NYS Route 109.
 
With regard to the Marriott Hotel brand, Marriott is considered the world’s leading Travel Company, with 7,500 properties worldwide including thirty (30) of the most respected hotel brands in the world (e.g., Ritz Carlton and St. Regis).
 
With respect to the Fairfield Inn Brand, there are currently over 1,000 Fairfield Inns across the US.  As the second largest Marriott brand, the “Fairfield Inn” falls within the upper/midscale tier of the company’s portfolio. “Fairfield Inn” caters to both business travelers and families alike. Its signature amenities include complementary hot breakfast, fitness center and a lobby marketplace.
 
The Fairfield Inn by Marriott will provide a much-needed service to the Farmingdale community, as well as the greater parts of both Nassau and Suffolk County. The Fairfield Inn is entering the market during a time where there is a growing demand for high-quality hospitality all across Long Island, especially for travelers utilizing the Republic Airport to the North.
