On November 21, Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon, Jr., distributed holiday meals for those in need at the 7th Annual Suffolk Sheriff’s Office Thanksgiving Food Distribution.  Over 250 turkeys, along with trimmings (gravy, stuffing, sides), were given out at the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office START Resource Center to pre-selected residents at a drive-thru event. Families in need of holiday meal help were identified by the START Center and their partner non-profit service agencies to guarantee that they can receive a free Thanksgiving meal.

“With the cost of groceries and household expenses on the rise, more and more of our neighbors are in need. The Sheriff’s Office is proud to be able to hold this turkey donation event to help Suffolk County families in need and provide them with some cheer and comfort this holiday season. Thank you to our sponsors and our non-profit partners who help to make this event possible year after year,” said Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr.

The turkeys and sides were donated by:
