Lake Ronkonoma, NY - November 23, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Patrol officers arrested a man for driving while intoxicated after he drove his car into his next door neighbor’s house this morning.
Dallas Vadala was traveling northbound on Lakeside Drive in Lake Ronkonkoma in a 2010 Hyundai Sonata when he lost control of his vehicle and drove up onto the lawn and through the front door of a house at 3 Campus Lane. Although there were two residents inside the house, no one was injured in the crash.
Vadala, 20, of 1 Campus Lane, Lake Ronkonkoma, was arrested at the scene and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He is being held at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned this morning at First District Court in Central Islip.
The investigation is continuing.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
