The Homicide Squad is investigating a fatality that was discovered on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 12:48 p.m. in Baldwin.

Raphael D. Oyague, 36 of Baldwin, was arrested for the crime.

Update - November 23, 2016 - The victim has been identified as Deanna M. Wingender, 25, of Syosset.

Update - November 23, 2016 - The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of Raphael D. Oyague, 36 of Baldwin, NY on November 23, 2016 for the below murder.  Oyague is charged with Murder 2nd degree.  He will be arraigned on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at First District Court, Hempstead.

Baldwin, NY - November 23, 2016 - The Homicide Squad is investigating a fatality that was discovered on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 12:48 p.m. in Baldwin.

According to detectives, police were called to the rear of 97 Merrick Road where they discovered the body of an unknown female. The death appears to be suspicious at this time.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding the above crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
