Suffolk County, NY - November 23, 2016 - There have been recent incidents involving Suffolk County residents that have fallen victim to telephone scams. Callers claim to be a familty member in trouble and request gift cards (iTunes, Target) be purchased and the numbers given to the scammer. Residents should be wary of any such calls and attempt to verify the identity of the caller. Call 911 and report any incidents.
