Check out these old pictures from the archives of the East Hampton Library that show LIRR trains from around the turn of the 20th century.
This image shows a passenger train operated by the Long Island Railroad. A note on the back of the image reads "the Sag Harbor Shuttle." Four men stand in front of the train. There is also a man operating the train and a man standing on it. This photograph was either taken or collected by Amagansett historian and librarian Carleton Kelsey.

Another man appears in the cab of the train engine. The men all appear to be railroad employees. The Eichhorn family did have multiple family members who wored with the Long Island Railroad.
