AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Ronald O’Leary, 59, displayed a steak knife and demanded money from a man dispatched to deliver Chinese food, officials report.

NCPD reports the arrest of Ronald O’Leary of East Meadow, 59, for Robbery that occurred on Sunday, November 26.

East Meadow, NY - November 27, 2017 - The First Squad reports the details of an arrest for Robbery that occurred on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 8:00 pm in East Meadow.
 
According to detectives, a 59 year old male victim was dispatched to deliver Chinese food to a residence on Dale Avenue. When the victim arrived at the location, a male exited the residence, displayed a steak knife and demanded money. The victim complied and the subject fled on foot in an unknown direction. After an investigation, detectives obtained a consent search of the residence and placed defendant Ronald O’Leary, 59, under arrest. The knife and proceeds were recovered inside the home.
 
Defendant O’Leary is being charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, November 27, 2017 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
