Holiday Spectacular Event Kicks off in Huntington Village
New this year, in place of its usual holiday parade and festivities, Huntington has kicked off a Holiday Spectacular on Wall Street that includes lights, music and other surprises every weekend between November 28 and January 3. During the event local businesses will run special deals.
In a press release, Huntington Town said that the goal of the event was to bring residents from across Long Island to the village. They reminded attendees to maintain social distancing guidelines and wear a mask.
The village is also waiving all metered parking fees, which Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci said is a holiday tradition that COVID would not change.
“It helps level the playing field for mom and pop shops competing with malls and big box stores for holiday shopping,” Lupinacci said.
