In October, Tiesto's Restaurant opened its doors serving up Ecuadorian dishes in Patchogue Village. According to their website, Chef Luis Marin - who comes from a small town in Ecuador, learned his skills from his mother who owned a restaurant in his native country. He teamed up with his two daughters to open Tiesto’s this year. The name comes from a handmade clay plate, used for cooking in the Andean culture.
Every day Tiesto's serves brunch from 11am-3pm. The menu includes omelettes your way ($14), eggs benedict ($14), prime steak and eggs ($20), a breakfast burger ($14) and more. Appetizers on their lunch and dinner menu include a guacamole bowl ($12), quesadillas ($10-$18 depending on the protein), nachos ($12-16), and empanadas ($10-16).
Handhelds include prime marinated strip loin steak sandwich ($20), cuban sandwich ($14), tacos ($14-18), and burgers ($10-15). On the entree menu for dinner they have and 18 oz grilled bone-in prime strip loin steak ($29), cabernet braised boneless short ribs ($26), marinated pork chops ($22), and pan seared wild salmon ($24).
Their native Ecuadorian dishes include churrasco, which is prime strip loin, white rice, beand, eggs, fries, avocado, sweet plantains, sauteed onion and tomato ($22), bandeja paisa, made of prime strip loin, chicharron (pork ring), chorizo, rice, beans, avocado, egg, plantains ($21), and chaulafan, which is sit-fried rice with shrimp, chicken,sausage, onions, garlic, peppers, peas, carrots, scrambled eggs, spices and herbs with maduros (sweet plantain) and avocado ($20).
Enjoy Margarita Mondays when they have classic margaritas for $5 and flavored margaritas for $6 from 4-7pm. On Fridays enjoy DJ music.
