It’s official! The holiday season has begun and the annual map to almost every house and attraction with holiday lights is now up. The online user who compiles a map of hundreds of the best Long Island homes lit up for Christmas has finally released the 2023 version.

According to Jon Dignam, the Long Islander who created the popular Google map with hundreds of homes decorated for the holidays, the LI Lights Map has gotten millions of views. Each house in the map has a picture and it is “super easy to use,” he told LongIsland.com last year.

Dignam encourages new submissions to the comprehensive map of homes decorated for the holidays. When you're out and about you can help verify homes that have been decorated.

The map maker admits that the work is never really done and involves the Long Island community to make it happen.

Instructions on how to use the map come directly from the LI Lights Map page: If you are using an iPhone - click on a green bulb, swipe up and you will see photos. To get there just choose open in Google maps and navigate to the house. There is a ton of useful info in the map description.
