The South Fork Natural History Museum (SOFO), the premier natural history museum on Long Island’s South Fork, is proud to share its impactful Giving Back initiatives this holiday season, highlighting its dedication to the local community.

A Challenge to Give: $50,000 Matching Grant

SOFO’s co-founder and Board President, Andy Sabin, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to community support. During the Thanksgiving season, Sabin launched his Annual Appeal Challenge Grant, pledging to match all gifts under $10,000, up to a total of $50,000. This generous initiative inspires donors to double their impact and directly benefits SOFO’s educational and outreach programs.

Supporting Local Families in Need

SOFO extended its generosity by donating proceeds from the Summer’s Gala's Special Ask appeal to local food pantries serving underserved families in the Bridgehampton area. These contributions reflect SOFO’s commitment to supporting those in need over the holidays. Beneficiary organizations include:

“We are thrilled to give back to our East End community, ensuring that families in need can enjoy the holiday season,” said SOFO Executive Director Frank Quevedo. “Thanks to the generosity of our friends and members, we’ve raised vital funds to support local families during this critical time.”
