Suspect Wanted for Pedestrian Hit & Run in Medford

Medford, NY - December 5th 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the individual involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian in Medford last month.

A 45-year-old Medford woman was struck by a vehicle while she was walking on Pine Grove Avenue on November 17 at approximately 5:20 p.m. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene following the crash.

The car was described by a witness as a blue Honda Civic, possibly bearing Virginia license plates.

The victim, who remains hospitalized, underwent surgery for leg and hip injuries.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
