UBS, the New York Islanders and the 43 Oak Foundation are hosting a mentorship session at UBS Arena on Tuesday, December 6 at 4 p.m. prior to the New York Islanders taking on the St. Louis Blues.
The 43 Oak Foundation is a non-profit organization serving disadvantaged youth in the New York Metropolitan Area ages 13-22 (Grade 8 to seniors in college).
Through their sponsorship from UBS and the Islanders, the Foundation is able to provide transportation, equipment, ice time, funding for travel hockey leagues and tournaments and other vital resources for the players.
At the mentorship session, students will connect with corporate volunteers from UBS and the New York Islanders to share common experiences as student athletes, build their network, sharpen leadership skills and gain exposure to the variety of college and career pathways available.
Following the session, the student-athletes will get to watch the matchup between the Islanders and the Blues.
