West Hampton, NY - December 6th, 2013 - The holiday season is upon us, and what’s a better gift than the gift of giving back to the Bay we all live, work and play on? Moriches Bay needs your help to be healthy again. This holiday season give the gift that will go towards making that happen – Oysters! Just 1 adult Oyster filters 50 gallons of water per day!
This gift can be as simple as buying a gift card for a friend or family member giving them the satisfaction of knowing they are supporting a "cleaner bay". It is great for the environmentalist or the person who has everything. It can be an educational gift, the receiver of this gift can come out this summer, learn to build an Oyster farm from a certified Scientist and watch their oysters grow. Great to teach kids and the whole family how to value and respect our waterways and all that live in it. Lastly, for every 100 Oysters you give as a gift the receiver of this gift can come down during the Harvest and retrieve a dozen oysters, take them home to enjoy. Great for the chef or seafood lover.
The gift cards can range from:
- $10.00 for 100 oysters
- $25.00 for 250 oysters
- $50.00 for 500 oysters
- $100.00 for 1000 oysters
You can give as much or as little as you want - the idea simply is to give!
