Man Killed in Motor Vehicle Crash After Hitting a Tree

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a Mount Sinai man yesterday.

Mount Sinai, NY - December 8, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a Mount Sinai man yesterday.

Glenn Taylor was operating a 2010 Toyota southbound on Chestnut Street when he struck a tree approximately 500 feet south of Route 25A.

Taylor, 66, of Mount Sinai, was pronounced dead at the scene by personnel from Port Jefferson Ambulance.

The vehicle impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.  Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
