Mastic Beach, NY - December 9, 2016 - Several William Floyd teachers have once again taken up the cause of putting down their razors for “No Shave November,” as a way to raise awareness and provide support for the American Cancer Society, which educates people about cancer prevention, helps those fighting the battle and works to save lives through research and treatment. The group raised $2,232 in their month-long effort before the fundraiser culminated with a beard shave or trim by the William Floyd High School cosmetology students.

William Floyd High School Technology teacher Paul Vassallo raised the most support for the fundraiser with $410 in donations. Participants included Michael Buffalino, Joseph Carpinone, Michael Goodwin, Hondo Humberstone, Will Maldonado, Tony Mecca, Matthew Van Horne, and Paul Vassallo.
