Suffolk County Police Acting Commissioner Robert Waring will swear in the latest class of Suffolk County Police recruits during a ceremony in Brentwood on December 9 at 9 a.m.
 
The class includes 145 SCPD recruits, 16 of whom are fluent Spanish speakers. More than 40 percent of the class has prior law enforcement experience.
 
Additionally, 19 recruits from other agencies will be sworn in representing the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, Southampton Town Police, Amityville Village Police, Southold Town Police, Riverhead Town Police, Stony Brook University Police, Glen Cove Police and Long Beach Police.
