Queens Man Dies in Industrial Incident in Melville

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an industrial incident that killed a Queens man this afternoon.

Melville, NY - December 10th, 2013 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an industrial incident that killed a Queens man this afternoon.
 
Second Precinct Police officers were called at 1:11p.m. to 110 Sand and Gravel, located at 136 Spagnoli Drive, Melville.  Employees discovered the body of Mauricio Edy Zambranovera lying on the ground at the rear of his commercial truck. Zambranovera had suffered significant internal injuries.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.  His body was removed to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be conducted.
 
Zambranovera, 23, worked for City Recycling, located at 151 Anthony St., Brooklyn.
 
The investigation is continuing.
