Franklin Square, NY - December 10, 2015 - Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages (D-Elmont) partnered up Polk Street School Elementary in Franklin Square, New York  to send holiday cards to soldiers stationed abroad. As part of the Dream Big Sophie Project, children were encouraged to volunteer their time and create a meaningful impact by participating in projects such as this. Mrs.Hanratty’s fifth grade class was ecstatic to make unique and thoughtful holiday cards for those that made the sacrifice to protect our country, even during the holidays.
