East Garden City, NY - December 11, 2017 - The Third Squad reports the details of a Grand Larceny that occurred on Friday, December 8, 2017, at 9:19 pm in East Garden City.
 
According to detectives, patrol officers responded to a 911 call for a larceny at Markens Jewelers, located at 630 Old Country Road. Employees notified officers they were attempting to make a sale, when a male grabbed the merchandise from the employee’s hands and fled the store on foot.
 
An employee chased the subject to an exit on the north/east side of the mall. The subject entered a white Nissan Sentra and fled in an unknown direction. The value of the ring and earrings exceed $20,000 dollars.
 
The subject is described as a male black, 6’0” tall, approximately 190 lbs., wearing a green knit hat, blue jeans and a black and white jacket.
