Legislator Arnold W. Drucker Celebrates Hanukkah at Mid-Island Y JCC Menorah Lighting
Plainview, NY - December 11, 2018 - Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) helped revelers of all ages celebrate the third night of Hanukkah during a menorah-lighting celebration at the Mid-Island Y JCC in Plainview on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
In addition to the candle-lighting ceremony, the Mid-Island Y JCC provided snacks, including traditional dishes like potato latkes with apple sauce and Hanukkah cookies, and the children were enthralled playing dreidel games. There were also musical performances and holiday crafts.
“All year long, Rick Lewis and his outstanding team at the Mid Island Y JCC provide wonderful opportunities for the community to gather and celebrate, and this delightful Hanukkah celebration was no exception,” Legislator Drucker said. “It is always a pleasure to be at the Y JCC, especially when it is filled with so much joy and love this time of year.”
