Holiday Inn Plainview Long Island Purchased for $21 Million; New Owner Plans Renovations, Upgrades
Acccording to reports, Holiday Inn Plainview Long Island, a long-time part of the iconic hotel chain, has been purchased for a whopping $21 million, with the new owner noting that they intend to invest further in the facility by conducting an extensive round of renovations and upgrades.
Located at 215 Sunnyside Boulevard, the 127-room Holiday Inn Plainview Long Island was acquired by the South Penrith, Australia-based J Group Corporation, which according to their website was "established in 1961, as a locally based sewer, water and stormwater civil construction and sub-divisional contractor. Over the past 52 years, J GROUP has earned widespread acclaim and recognition as one of the leading civil infrastructure construction companies in [New South Wales]."
According to J Group Corporation President Shudh Parkash Singh, the Holiday Inn Plainview Long Island proved to be an attractive purchase due to it's optimal location right off of Exit 46 of the Long Island Expressway.
“This hotel has the most convenient location on Long Island,” Singh said in a statement.
The hotel includes many amenities for guests, including an outdoor swimming pool, a sports bar, free Wi-Fi, a 24 hour fitness center, and the Bistro 46 restaurant; The facility also has a banquet hall and eight meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 200 guests for corporate conferences and other events.
J Group Corporation representatives have stated that they intend to invest money into the Holiday Inn Plainview Long Island in order to upgrade the complex come this January, including Renovations to the restaurant, bar, banquet in meeting spaces, in addition to sprucing up the rooms with 65-inch televisions and other perks. Plans for enhancing the property's presidential, bridal, and four junior suites are also on the table as well.
“Our goal is to give the best amenities to guests out of any hotel on Long Island with the most competitive rates,” said President of Holiday Inn Plainview Sartag Singh.
Once renovations are complete, the hotel will be holding a grand re-opening, with local politicians and dignitaries such as Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and Town of Oyster Supervisor Joseph Saladino anticipated to attend.
