Bohemia-based King Quality Roofing and Siding is supporting Christmas Magic with a $30,000 marketing grant, helping the Long Island nonprofit fulfill the holiday wishes of children in need.

The grant is funding a TV commercial aimed at raising donations for Christmas Magic, which relies solely on individual contributions to deliver gifts to about 11,000 Long Island children each year. The 30-second spot is airing on News 12 Long Island and various cable channels throughout December.

Each holiday season, shelters, churches, schools, and social service agencies across Long Island refer children to Christmas Magic. These children share wish lists, and the nonprofit’s volunteers—known as elves—use them to shop for personalized gifts. The cost of each gift is estimated at $75.

"What makes Christmas Magic so special is that our dedicated volunteers carefully select gifts based on each child's wish list, making them feel truly seen and heard," said Founder Charlie Russo. "We’re deeply grateful for King Quality’s support in helping us raise awareness and show how everyone can contribute, so we can continue bringing joy and hope to Long Island children facing hardships."

This marketing grant is the latest initiative under King Quality Cares, the contractor’s philanthropic arm focused on raising awareness of charities and community organizations across Long Island.

"At King Quality, we believe in the power of coming together to build a stronger Long Island," said Jeff Brett, CEO of King Quality. "Through our King Quality Cares initiative, we’re proud to support Christmas Magic and their mission to bring joy to children in need. We encourage Long Island residents to discover how they can get involved and help make the holidays special for kids in our community."

John’s Crazy Socks to Donate a Pair of Socks to Christmas Magic for Every Pair Sold

Farmingdale-based John’s Crazy Socks is giving back this holiday season by pledging to donate a pair of socks to Christmas Magic for every pair sold through December 25. These colorful and fun socks will be distributed to children on Long Island as part of Christmas Magic’s holiday program.

John’s Crazy Socks was inspired by co-founder John Lee Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome, and his passion for what he calls “crazy socks.” John, along with his father Mark Cronin, who previously received a King Quality Cares grant, also appear in the TV commercial, highlighting their generosity. Giving back is central to John’s Crazy Socks, which donates a portion of its earnings and sales from select sock lines to its charity partners. To date, the company has raised over $750,000 for these partners.

"Our goal at John’s Crazy Socks is to spread happiness," said Mark Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks. "John and I can’t think of a better way to do that this holiday season than by partnering with King Quality and Christmas Magic to donate our crazy socks to children across Long Island.”
