UPDATE: 18-Year-Old Arrested for Following UPS Truck and Removing Packages from Houses
Update - January 2, 2017 - A subsequent investigation of the incident resulted in an additional ten (10) counts of Petit Larceny. Gonzales was re-arrested on Sunday, January 1, 2017 and will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 01/02/2017.

Hicksville, NY - December 15, 2016 - The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Hicksville man for Petit Larceny that occurred on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. in Hicksville.
According to detectives, Second Precinct officers received a 911 call in the vicinity of Salem Gate for two men observed following a UPS truck in a Ford Explorer and removing packages from three separate houses then fleeing the scene.
Officers located Martin Gonzales, 18 of Hicksville his residence and placed him under arrest without incident, the second subject has yet to be apprehended. Numerous packages that were taken from the area were located in the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.
Gonzales is charged with 3 counts of Petit Larceny and will be arraigned on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
