Stony Brook, NY - December 16, 2013 - Suffolk County Police today arrested a Setauket man after residents returned home to interrupt a burglary in progress in Stony Brook.
Residents of the home located at 31 Hillside Road arrived home at 2:05 a.m. to find the door open and items within in disarray. The residents called 911 and Sixth Precinct Police Officer Linda Lollo responded and entered the home, locating the suspect, Christopher Touch, hiding in an interior stairwell in possession of property from the home.
Touch, 54, of 102 Dyke Road, was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree. He will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and arraigned tomorrow at First District Court in Central Islip.
