AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING An Air Quality Health Advisory remains in effect for the following counties: Nassau and Suffolk. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of ground level ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Three suspects threw a man to the ground and robbed him at gunpoint in Baldwin.

Baldwin, NY - December 16, 2013 - First Squad detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on December 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm in Baldwin.
 
According to detectives, while making a home heating oil delivery for Slomin’s Oil, his employer, the 49 year old male victim was approached by three male blacks and was thrown to the ground. One of the subjects produced a handgun and pressed it to the back of his neck while stating, “Where’s the money?” The other subjects went through his pockets and removed an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
They subjects were last seen entering a newer model blue Chevrolet sedan and fled northbound on Linkwood Drive.
 
All three subjects were described as being between 25-29 years old and all were wearing masks that covered their faces.
 
There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident and detectives request anyone with information regarding this Robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
