NCPD Officer Aid Uniondale Woman in Giving Birth to Healthy Baby Boy

Uniondale, NY - December 17th, 2014 - The Emergency Ambulance Bureau reports the details of a childbirth that occurred on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Uniondale.

First Precinct officers and a Nassau County Police Department ambulance and technician responded to a Cooper Street residence for a 25 year old in labor. Upon arrival at the house it was determined that childbirth was imminent and she was immediately removed to the ambulance.

Enroute to a local hospital, the Ambulance Medical Technician, assisted by an Ambulance Medical Technician Supervisor, delivered a healthy baby boy at 9:58 pm. Both mother and baby were admitted to the hospital and were reported to be doing fine.
