After opening its first location on Long Island last year, Fogo de Chão, the Brazilian steakhouse, opened a new location in Huntington on December 6. Located at the Walt Whitman, the newest Fogo restaurant marks the fourth New York metro location and second on Long Island.
Fogo de Chão specializes in an open style of grilling meat on a churrascaria grill, based on a centuries-old gaucho tradition known as churrasco. The restaurant features a churrasco bar in the heart of the dining room for guests to sit and dine while our gaucho chefs display the culinary art of churrasco as they butcher, prepare and grill different cuts of meat over an open flame.
There will also be a glass-encased wine room displaying many of South America’s finest varietals, and a dry-aged meat cabinet for in-house aging. The restaurant will have over 250 seats, as well as an open-air outdoor patio.
Fogo de Chãowill be open Monday through Thursday from 11am-10pm, Friday through Saturday from 11am-10:30pm, and Sunday from 11am-9pm.
Location: 160 Walt Whitman Road, Huntington Station, (631) 382-6161.
