SCPD Seeking Suspects Who Used Counterfeit Money to Buy Items at Islandia, Smithtown Stores

SCPD are seeking men (pictured above) who used counterfeit currency at Islandia and Smithtown stores.

Suffolk County, NY - December 19, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate men who used counterfeit currency at Islandia and Smithtown stores.
 
The men pictured above went to Rite Aid, located at 1968 Veterans Memorial Highway in Islandia, on June 20 at 1:30 p.m. and purchased several Visa gift cards. The same men went to Walgreens, located at 712 Smithtown Bypass in Smithtown, at 5:30 p.m. and purchased Visa gift cards and bottled water. In both cases, the men used counterfeit $20 and $100 bills. The men were seen getting out of a late model Ford Fusion.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
