Central Islip, NY - December 20, 2018 - Suffolk County Police have arrested two men in connection with the sex trafficking of a 12-year-old girl.

Fifth Precinct officers responded to Rodeway Inn Macarthur Airport, located at 3055 Veteran’s Memorial Highway, on December 18 at 2:27 a.m. after a woman called 911 to report her former foster daughter, 12, and another girl, 17, were being held by two men at the location against their will.

When officers arrived, they found Fredjy Exavier attempting to leave the location with the two girls, knowing the 12-year-old had made a phone call to her former foster mother about the situation. Police located Terron Newsome in a room at the motel.

Further investigation revealed Exavier and Newsome picked up the girls from the group home where they live and drove them to the motel where Newsome attempted to have the 12-year-old girl engage in sexual activities with him and encouraged her to become a prostitute. Detectives also determined the 17-year-old girl has been working as a prostitute for Newsome since she was 13 years old and had been raped by Newsome during that time.

Newsome, 22, of Central Islip, a self-described Crips gang member, was charged with Kidnapping 2nd Degree, Rape 2nd Degree, Sex Trafficking and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Exavier, 22, of Central Islip, was charged with Kidnapping 2nd Degree and Sex Trafficking.

Newsome and Exavier will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on December 20.
