On February 21, 2022 Southampton Town Police Department responded to Esco Electric located at 211 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY in reference to large amounts of stolen copper.
From February 2022 through September 2023, the Southampton Town Police Department responded to six additional reports of stolen copper from the business. After an extensive investigation, Community Response Officers arrested four subjects for the thefts:
- Kevin Eckert, age 42, of Patchogue, New York on 12/13/23
- Kelley S. Richardson, age 53, of East Quogue, New York on 12/14/23;
- Frank O’Dwyer Blanco, age 32, Hampton Bays, New York on 12/14/23 and
- Anthony Blanco, age 55, of Hampton Bays, New York was arrested on 12/19/23.
All four defendants were charged with Grand Larceny 3rd, a “D” Felony and arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court.
