Christmas Weather Outlook: Unseasonably High Temperatures and Lots of Rain in the Forecast for Christmas 2015
While there is no chance of snowfall this Christmas with this near record-breaking warmth, plenty of precipitation will be falling in the days before, during, and after Christmas. According to AccuWeather, severe thunderstorms, rain, winds and potential flooding are in store through tonight from the Gulf Coast area to the lower Great Lakes area, with the threat of isolated tornadoes and hazardous wind gusts. Farther east, towards the Carolinas, there is also risk of flash flooding which could severely affect any holiday travel plans.
The Northeast is predicted to have 1-2 inches of rain leading into Christmas Eve.
