The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of four people for the Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 12:38 AM in Atlantic Beach.
According to Detectives, Bureau of Special Operations (BSO) Officers conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop of a 2018 Jeep Wrangler near the intersection of Park Street and Ithaca Street for several traffic infractions. Officers observed a switchblade knife being tossed by the driver, defendant Jessica Cruz, 25 of 1091 Duston Road, Valley Stream and the front seat passenger, defendant Johnathan Faneytt, 29 of 12 E Jamaica Avenue, Valley Stream attempting to conceal something under his seat.
Defendants Reggie Kelleher, 19 of 31 State Street, Rockville Centre and Jessica Herrador, 25 of 2577 Central Avenue, Baldwin were both in the backseat of the vehicle.
An investigation was conducted resulting in multiple packages of what is believed to be LSD, Cocaine and MDMA from defendant Jessica Cruz’s purse, along with metal brass knuckles and what is believed to be Cocaine under the front passenger’s seat and a black leather bag in the vehicle containing what is believed to be Cocaine. All four defendants were placed under arrest.
All four defendants are charged with the Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Additionally, defendant Jessica Cruz is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and multiple Vehicle Traffic Law infractions. Defendant Johnathan Faneytt is additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree. All four defendants will be arraigned on Friday, December 22, 2023 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
