Huntington Station, NY - December 23rd, 2013 - Members of the Suffolk County Police Department Second Precinct Explorers Program brought donated food to a church in Huntington Station for the holiday season.

The Explorers packaged food items, which were gathered at their holiday food drive on December 19, and delivered the food on December 21 to Saint Hugh of Lincoln Church, located at 21 East 9th St. in Huntington Station. While at the church for the drop off, a truck full of other donated food items arrived and the Explorers assisted church volunteers to unload the truck, sort the items and box the items for distribution.

The Explorers Program is a life, career and leadership development program that provides 14 to 20 year olds with insight into the skills and techniques needed to succeed in life and as a police officer.
