AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Homicide Squad detectives report the details of a homicide that occurred in Seaford on Saturday, 12/21/13 between 12:30 A.M. and 6:49 P.M.

Seaford, NY - December 23rd, 2013 - Homicide Squad detectives report the details of a homicide that occurred in Seaford on Saturday, 12/21/13 between 12:30 A.M. and 6:49 P.M.

According to detectives, Seventh Precinct police officers responded to 3848 Ray St. for an unresponsive male.  Thomas Riccobono, 34, of the same address was pronounced at the scene at 6:55 P.M.  The deceased was removed to the Nassau County Medical Examiner’s office where an autopsy determined the death to be accidental. Toxicology reports are pending.

Detectives report no apparent criminality at this time.
