Bristal Assisted Living Communities joins Family and Children’s Association by Spreading Holiday Cheer to 125 Homebound Seniors Across Nassau County

The Bristal Assisted Living Communities prepared and deliveed holiday meals to 125 homebound senior citizens serviced by the Family and Children's Association. The meal preparation and packing took place at The Bristal at Jericho.
 
Five chefs from The Bristal communities across Long Island led by The Bristal’s Regional Director of Food Service, Paul Senken, created the gourmet holiday meals from the following ingredients: 35 pounds of vegetables, 125 Packages of salad dressing, 125 dinner rolls, 35 pounds of roast turkey, 35 pounds of stuffing, 2 gallons of cranberry sauce, 2 gallons of gravy, 35 pounds of roast potatoes, 16 pies, and 125 packages of cookies.

The delicious, festive meals  were  delivered by team members of The Bristal and FCA to homebound seniors across Long Island, ensuring they have a warm and nutritious holiday meal.
 
The meals were accompanied by  a senior care package put together by the LoFasso family of Farmingdale which included a fleece blanket, cozy socks, knit gloves, sparkling cider, medication pill holder, a magnifying glass, and an all-purpose drinking cup. 
 
Together, these items and the meal will create a joyful holiday experience for FCA homebound senior clients and reflects The Bristal’s commitment to giving back to the community and ensuring that those who are most vulnerable are not forgotten during the holiday season.
