Mineola, NY - December 24, 2018 - Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) partnered with Sen. Elaine Phillips to collect hundreds of toys, with the help of local students, to be delivered to child patients at NYU Winthrop Hospital. The toys were delivered to the children in the hospital’s Pediatric Care Center on Tuesday, December 11. Included in the donations was an oversized teddy bear that Ra nicknamed “Hampton” and personally delivered to a two-year-old patient who was overjoyed with the gift.

“Seeing the joy these toys bring to the children of NYU Winthrop Hospital is such a wonderful gift of its own,” said Ra. “It warms my heart to see so many children excited to help brighten other children’s days with these toys. Hundreds of toys were collected this year due to the hard work of a number of local schools and students. I am proud of what we have accomplished together and hope that next year we can bring more smiles and joy to the pediatric patients of NYU Winthrop Hospital.”

Assemblyman Ra represents the 19th Assembly District.
