Roosevelt Man Arrested After Allegedly Slashing Victim in Face with a Box Cutter During Argument

The First Squad reports the arrest of a Roosevelt Man for an Assault that occurred on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at 12:00 AM in Roosevelt. 
 
According to detectives, officers responded to a disturbance on Lakewood Avenue. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 22-year-old male victim was involved in an argument with Defendant Ramon Blandon, 48, of 54 Lakewood Avenue. The argument escalated and the defendant grabbed a box cutter and slashed the victim on the face, causing a laceration. 
 
The defendant was arrested at the scene without incident. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
 
Defendant Ramon Blandon is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
