Man Shot During Armed Robbery at Deer Park Auto Repair Shop Over Christmas Holiday Weekend

Deer Park, NY - December 26, 2015 - Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating an incident in which a man was shot during an armed robbery at an auto repair shop in Deer Park early this morning.

Two men with ski masks and gloves entered the Ultimate Transmission Inc. auto repair shop, located at 2 Saxwood St., at approximately 5 a.m. and demanded cash. A confrontation ensued and a gunman fired two shots, hitting the victim in the leg. The suspects fled on foot with cash and jewelry.

The victim was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, for treatment of his injury. Both suspects are described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call either the First Squad at 631-854-8152, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
