The Third Squad reports the details of a Vehicular Accident that occurred on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 7:40 AM in New Hyde Park.
According to Detectives, a 73-year-old female was crossing the intersection of Union Turnpike and Lakeville Road when she was struck by an unknown grey vehicle, possibly a Mercedes Benz. The grey vehicle did not stop and proceeded to flee the scene, last seen traveling southbound on Lakeville Road.
The female victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
