Mother and 2 Daughters Struck By Vehicle on Christmas Eve in Hicksville, Victims in Critical Condition

Homicide Squad detectives report the details of a serious auto accident, in which three pedestrians were struck, that occurred in Hicksville on Thursday, 12/24/15 at 9:48 P.M.

A vehicle struck a mother and her two daughters while crossing a road in Hicksville on Christmas Eve. All three victims sustained multiple internal injuries.

Hicksville, NY - December 25, 2015 - Homicide Squad detectives report the details of a serious auto accident, in which three pedestrians were struck, that occurred in Hicksville on Thursday, 12/24/15 at 9:48 P.M.

According to detectives, a 2003 Honda Accord, operated by a male driver, 39, was travelling south on Newbridge Rd./Old Country Rd. when he struck a mother, 42, and her two daughters, ages 11 and 4, who were crossing from east to west. 

Nassau County Police Ambulance and Hicksville Fire Department Ambulance transported all three victims, who sustained multiple internal injuries, to a local hospital.  The mother and the 4-year-old are listed in critical condition.  The 11-year-old victim is listed in critical but stable condition.  No other injuries were reported.

Detectives report no apparent criminality at this time.  The vehicle was impounded for brake and safety tests.
