Valley Stream, NY - December 29, 2015 - On 12/29/15  at about 1:30 AM, a 2010 Nissan was southbound on the Meadowbrook State Parkway just north of the Southern State Parkway at a high rate of speed, when the operator lost control of the vehicle and drove onto the right shoulder striking a tree.  The driver, Raquel Liberte, age 20, of Valley Stream NY, was pronounced deceased at the accident scene.  The front seat and only passenger, Evelissa Ducatel, age 20, also of Valley Stream, was taken to Nassau University Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. 

The accident investigation is on-going at this time.
