AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 11 PM EDT MONDAY The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following counties: New York, Bronx, Kings, Queens, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam. from 11 AM to 11 PM EDT Sunday. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The Air Quality Index, or AQI, was created as an easy way to correlate levels of different pollutants to one scale. The higher the AQI value, the greater the health concern. When pollution levels are elevated, the New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating a Northport man who was reported missing last week.

Cody Lee Miller, 24, of Northport has been missing since December 23, 2015. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or 911.

Update - December 30, 2015 - Cody Lee Miller, the Northport man who was previously reported missing, has been located, unharmed.

Northport, NY - December 30, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating a Northport man who was reported missing last week.

Cody Lee Miller, 24, was last seen by his family at his house in Northport at approximately 8 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23.

Miller is described as a white male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 145 pounds, with dark blond hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with a black hoodie and black sneakers. He was carrying a black oversized backpack.

Miller’s family believes he may still be on Long Island, but he might have travelled into New York City.

Detectives are asking anyone with any information about Miller’s whereabouts to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or call 911.
