Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr. is working to keep the holiday cheer in the air by holding the Third Annual START Resource Center Toy and PJ Giveaway on Sunday, January 5 from 11:00AM to 2PM. The free event, held in collaboration with EJ’s PJs, Toys for Tots, True North Community Church and Helping Makes you Happy will give out nearly 1,000 new toys and pajamas to children and families in Suffolk County. All are welcome, while supplies last.
Toys, pajamas, sneakers and other items will be distributed to those who attend on a first come, first serve basis. Children must be present to receive toys and pajamas. Free hot chocolate will be served courtesy of Walmart. The Suffolk Cooperative Library System will also have their SLED (mobile outreach) bus on site. The bus will be outfitted with lights, a faux fireplace and festive decorations and visitors can walk through to take free holiday family photos.
