    Ingredients

    • 6 Lemons
      750 ml. 100-proof Vodka
      1.75 cups Sugar

    Directions

    1. 1) With vegetable peeler, remove peel from lemons (refrigerate peeled lemons for juice). Pour vodka into 8-cup measuring cup or large glass bowl and add lemon peels. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand at room temperature 1 week.

      2) After 1 week, line sieve with paper towel and place over another large bowl. Pour vodka mixture through sieve; discard lemon peels.

      3) In 2-quart saucepan, mix sugar with 3 1/4 cups water; heat to boiling over high heat, stirring. Boil 2 minutes. Cool completely. Add cool syrup to vodka mixture.

      4) Pour cordial into small decorative bottles with tight-fitting stoppers or lids. Although it is not necessary to refrigerate cordial, it's best served very cold. We recommend storing it in the freezer where it can keep indefinitely.
